Check out the video from the Junky Air Catwalk Show!

Last week’s Junky Air catwalk was an amazing show, full of the label’s uniquely fierce fashion from start to finish. The collection looked incredible, with the Chesterfield Coats, Jumpsuits, Chiffon Ponchos and Flightsuits all deserving special mention. Styled by ex-Bodymap legend David Holah, the models’ cheeky air force hats and the striped bodysuits brought an irreverant touch to the proceedings. The show’s setting was totally in keeping with the innovative flight-inspired collection – blues skies and clouds were projected across the walls and the soundtrack kicked off with the Red Hot Chilli Pepper’s awesome ‘Aeroplane’.

More imagery and video from the show can be seen on the Junky Styling Facebook and Flickr pages, and the Flightsuits and Jumpsuits are now available to order through bouf.com.

A date for YOUR diary – Junky will be holding a catwalk show and party in the Old Truman Brewery on Tuesday, March the 29th. The collection which will be shown, Autumn Winter 2011, is one of Junky’s strongest yet. We’ll also be showcasing the gorgeous new Ju.St range, our luxury line from limited and end-run off-cuts. Some of our good friends (who also happen to be great DJs) will be coming along to play at the party, which very nicely will also be sponsored by Courvoisier.

The show and party will be taking place between 7 and 10 pm on Tuesday March 29th so keep the date free! More details to follow shortly.

It’s finally here! London Fashion Week has begun and Junky are taking part in the Esthetica exhibition, which features London’s best sustainable fashion talent. Over the next few days Junky’s Autumn Winter 2011 collection will be on show at the epicentre of LFW, Somerset House.

Jacquetta Wheeler took to the catwalk in a Junky Styling ‘Rebecca’ shirt dress for London Fashion Week’s first-ever Sustainable Fashion show. The shirt dress is a classic Junky look, combining classic elegance and understated deconstruction. The upcycled shirt’s original button and placket detail run along the slash neck, and shirt sleeves are reworked into a waist tie feature.

We are very please to announce that winner of MAKE YOUR MAKE Competition is our MIA (Mia Nisbet) who we have been mentoring her over this summer.

We are so delighted that MIA won the Competition! It was lovely to have her in our studio and working with her. I am sure she will do well from now on! MIA’s clothes were based on the use of recycled and second hand clothes from Malawi so there were traditional textiles interspersed with rough and ready street styles. MIA is the one to watch!!
